Juggling

I realise that I know nothing about music theory and the lanky fellow next to me dressed in an Iron Maiden T-shirt and chains is reeling off a virtual concert into his immaculate notation book. It is confusing because the note I call "B" is called "Si" here and "Si" also means what I call "Yes"....you C what I mean? But "C" is called "Doh" ....aaah  duh!

Rain, rain, rain, no sign of Invisible Wife for a few days. Henry is staggering around with a new pal Otto. They are driving a very old Mercedes....erratically. I am waiting for the Invisible Wife to turn up with a flamethrower...

Every sympathy. It's the same here. A composer I knew before he died (I was his rehearsal pianist) could reel off series of notes including the dièses and bémols (don't know what these are in Spanish) and expected me to be able to as well. And then it all gets muddled with the Brit tonic sol-fa system too. There's a French TV house makeover programme called 'Doh Mi Si La Doh Ré' i.e. Domicile adoré. Ho ho. I should pour yourself a double gin y tonica.
