I think there maybe some of these on the roof. They arrive as the sun goes down...and they skitter...and I run out very fast but never see them, Probably just as well.
We had them too but when we made the attic into rooms I couldn't hear them any more. There are some owls who sing to each other in our big oak tree. Not in tune.

I have a couple of these as well, although they are usually out of sight, singing the same 8 to 16 bars of some revolting song I can never finish...

Pearl: 16 bars is a long time for listening to revolting music. Start a new song...and...do they sing in tune?

letout: Did you ever see them?
No, never. Though I did once see a kestrel sitting beside the chimney - perhaps he could see them?
I've seen the owls once or twice.

mig: What a hoot.
nursemyra: What do possums sound like?
